What You’ll Do
You’ll help build and lead a growing team of engineers not just by managing, but by enabling them to do the best work of their careers.
Own the overall output and effectiveness of the engineering org, spotting bottlenecks and clearing paths
Lead hiring efforts to grow a team of smart, driven engineers and attract top talent who wants to join
Run 1:1s, drive motivation, and create a healthy environment for growth and feedback
Maintain visibility into key engineering initiatives and keep projects moving forward without micromanaging
Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to align engineering priorities with company goals
Jump into code or review PRs when necessary
Contribute to shaping a values-driven engineering culture where quality, curiosity, and impact are core
Who You Are
7–10 years of experience in engineering orgs, including 2+ years managing teams or leading at Head+ level
You’ve built or scaled engineering teams from scratch and you know how to attract great people
You’ve worked in a startup or early-stage environment, either as a founder or one of the first 20 employees
You’re still technically sharp, even if you’re not coding daily you know how systems are built and can guide teams through tough trade-offs
You’re organized, emotionally intelligent, and able to create clarity in the chaos
You understand how to scale not just people, but processes and you know when to introduce structure
